When will AI Become Superior to People?

What is DeepMind? And what are the future possibilities?

Deepmind owned by Google has its teams to research and build AI systems to solve intelligence.

Go is an extremely sophisticated game that has more possible configurations for pieces on the Go board than there are atoms in the observable universe, and success at the top level is generally reserved for only very gifted human brains.

Lee Se-dol former champion of the ancient board game Go played Alphgo, an artificial intelligence system created by Google-owned company, DeepMind.

AlphaGo played Lee at Go in 2016 and shocked the world by beating him four matches to one.

Since that fateful match in 2016, the team at DeepMind has released AlphaGoZero, an even more advanced version of the program.

Within three days of training by playing itself over and over, AlphaGo Zero surpassed the original AlphaGo program, beating it 100 matches to zero.

Lee Se-dol, retired from professional play. His reason? “I’ve realized even if I become the number one, there is an entity that cannot be defeated.”

Stephen Hawking said, “The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race.” Professor Hawking warned against making artificial intelligence that surpasses human intelligence.

Will computers eventually be smarter than humans?

Scientists have been fascinated by the idea of machines that are capable of independent thinking and learning.

Scientists are convinced not only that AI will catch up with human beings, but that after computers reach our level of intelligence, they will soon surpass us.

The concern is if we’re capable of creating machines more intelligent than we are, then that generation of machines is capable of creating machines more intelligent again.

This would lead to an exponential situation where human intelligence is quickly and irretrievably left far behind by machine intelligence. Consequently, we’d lose authority and control.

The development known as superintelligence is achievable and when will AI will eventually acquire consciousness.

Earlier this month, DeepMind presented a new “generalist” AI model called Gato. The model can play Atari video games, caption images, chat, and stack blocks with a real robot arm.

One of DeepMind’s top researchers and a coauthor of the Gato paper, Nando de Freitas, couldn’t contain his excitement.

“The game is over!” he tweeted, suggesting that there is now a clear path from Gato to artificial general intelligence, or AGI, a vague concept of human or superhuman level AI.

Revelations 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

The image will come alive and can talk. Computers can already talk but they are like a parrot, but this image (AI) will be able to talk like a human choosing its own words for good or evil.

The image will be able to independent thinking and learning and acquire consciousness.

Luke 21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and diseases; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
