Persecution of Christians around the World

Christians worldwide are harassed, discriminated against, beaten, imprisoned, or even killed for their faith in Jesus Christ and their belief in the Bible.

Qui Tacet Consentire Videtur. This Latin maxim means, “He who remains silent is understood to consent.

“Consent” = “agreement to do something or permission for something to happen”.

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

In Taliban-ruled Afghanistan, secret believers face execution if they’re caught with a Bible app on their phone or watching Christian programs on social media. In Algeria, North Africa, the government is shutting down churches. Persecution of Christians in Türkiye (formerly Turkey) is intensifying.

Social media platforms and satellite television broadcasts in Arabic, Farsi, and Turkish are often the only voice of hope for isolated believers.

Christians are harassed, discriminated against, beaten, imprisoned, or even killed for their faith in Jesus Christ and their belief in the Bible. 312 million Christians face very high or extreme persecution. 5,621 Christians were killed for their faith last year, 2,100 churches were attacked, and 4,542 Christians were detained.

The book of martyrs is an excellent book that every Christian needs to read.

Persecution started with Jesus and has been going on up till now.

In Canada, since they elected a liberal president, persecution of Christians has begun. One example is a Canadian Pastor attacked by people at the library and then arrested after protesting a drag queen story hour event at the library.

In the U.K., speaking out publicly against transgender identity can lead to prosecution under “hate laws.”

The disintegration of America’s long-cherished Judeo-Christian values is accelerating at a frightening pace.  Efforts to end the free speech of Bible-believing Christians are spreading rapidly. Liberal activists are pressing to silence opposition to their evil agenda, including attempts to lower the age of sexual consent and promote sex-change surgery for minors.

Now is the time for America’s Christians to stand up. If  Christians are silent now, we will live to regret it when our God-given rights are stripped away one by one.
