Do Christian Churches Need Security?

Christian churches don’t need security with people armed with guns but need the power of God. But many Churches aren’t Christian but are full of sinners who know nothing about God.

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Matthew 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Did you read in those scriptures anything about shooting your enemies? It’s hard to love your enemies and shoot and kill them at the same time.

1 Thessalonians 5:15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves and to all men.

What does the Bible teach about self-defense.? I’ve heard the scripture in Luke 22:37 that says, he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

False teachers pull that out of context and forget to read the next verse, 38 here are two swords, and he said unto them, It is enough. If they were to use them for defense, as those false teachers say, then it would not have been enough since there were eleven disciples, not two.

In Matthew 26, the exact same story, Matthew tells the whole story which tells that Peter pulled the sword and cut an ear off, and Jesus said put up thy sword again into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

Then Jesus heals the ear on the man, which would be contradicting if he wanted you to defend yourself. The false teachers forgot to tell the whole story.

Matthew 26:51 And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest’s, and smote off his ear.

Matthew 26:52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

The Bible teaches us to love our neighbor and our enemies, not shoot our neighbor or enemies. You have to throw away the teachings of Jesus and the New Testament to teach self-defense.

There is nowhere in the New Testament that teaches us to defend ourselves. And there is nowhere in the Bible that tells of any Christian ever defending themselves. All the disciples were put to death, except John, and they never put up a fight.

If that false teaching were true, then there would be no martyrs for Christ. Millions have given their lives because they had faith that they had eternal life. Many Churches need to read Fox’s book of martyrs.

We don’t fight against flesh and blood but the powers that are driving evil.

Ephesians 6:7 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

People and churches that teach that are worldly with “worldly” views that are based on fear. Many so-called Christians are so entangled with this world that you can’t tell if they are Christians. They act like the world and talk like the world and seek the pleasure of the world.

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.

1 John 2:16 If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

1 John 2:17 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Anyone that feareth is not made perfect in love. The spirit of fear is not of God.

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment.

If you have the Holy Spirit, it is the Spirit of power and love, not fear.

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Prayer is what is needed in churches.

1 Timothy 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men.

Ephesians 6:8 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saint.

The Bible teaches us to live is Christ and to die is gain. Do all members of a Church really believe in eternal life and that to die is gain, or are they just playing Church once a week?

Philippians 1:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

We are just pilgrims passing thru; this earth is not our home. But many who live in rich nations love their life and are not ready to go on to the next.

Hebrews 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

We are to be separate from the world.

2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

2 Corinthians 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk-in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

2 Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

2 Corinthians 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Many of the Churches in rich nations are like the Church of the Laodiceans in Revelation 3 in the Bible.

Revelations 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

Revelations 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Revelations 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

Revelations 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

Revelations 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and “REPENT”.

Many people in Churches need to repent=change of minds and hearts and become Biblical Christians.

The scriptures teach us to depend on God.

Psalms 34:4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Psalms 34:17 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

Psalms 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

Psalms 34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good:blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Romans 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Romans 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Romans 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
