Does a Christian have a “Guardian Angel” that watches over them?

I just read an article about does all Christians have a Guardian Angel. Well, they weren’t sure if Christians have guardian Angels or not.

Their answer was maybe, but children do.

Matthew 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

I guess their logic was you have one when you are a child but when you turn a certain age you don’t need one. Wonder what age they believe you lose that personal angel?

Once again opinions from the pulpit instead of truth from the Scriptures. These TV so-called preachers end up confusing many and helping none.

So let’s go to the scriptures and reason out the truth instead of opinions.

Angels are ministering spirits sent forth to minister to Christians.

Hebrews 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

Christians who reverent fear God an angel camps around them.

Psalms 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

An angel has charge of you and will keep you in all thy ways.

Psalms 91:11  For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

Daniel in the Old Testament had an angel that protected him.

Daniel 6:22 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

Peter was released from jail by an angel.

Acts 12:11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

When people went to the Christian’s house and knocked on the door they thought it was Peter angel.

Acts 12:15 And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel.

There are multiple times in the Old Testament of angels coming to the rescue of God’s people.

We are the sons of God and I’m sure age has nothing to do with if you have an angel or not.

If angels watched over the only begotten Son of God, does angels watch over the other sons and daughters of God?

Angels mininstered to Jesus

Luke 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

Luke 22:43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.

Matthew 4:11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

1 John 4:1  Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

1 John 4:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

We don’t worship angels or bow down to them but they are about God’s work ministering to us.

Revelations 22:8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.

Revelations 22:9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

Colossians 2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind.

As interesting as angels are we serve Jesus the only begotten of God, not angels.

Hebrews 1:4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

Hebrews 1:5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

Hebrews 1:6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

Hebrews 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

There is a few scriptures so you can decide if God has placed a guardian angel or angels over you to minister and deliver you.

And remember angels appear sometimes as people.

Hebrew 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
