Preacher Says Jesus Hasn’t Returned Because People are not Giving

Participating in a “Victorython” fundraiser for Kenneth Copeland’s ministry,

Speaking during a live TV program Victorython, Jesse Duplantis, said: “I honestly believe this  the reason why Jesus hasn’t come is that people are not giving the way God told them to give.

” “When you understand this, you can speed up the time,” he continued.

The Bible teaches to give cheerfully, not to speed-up the return of Jesus.

2 Corinthiaans 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

2 Corinthiaans 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

These so-called minsters are rich and the Bible teaches to give to the needy and poor not the rich.

Proverbs 19:7 He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

Proverbs 22:9 He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.

It obvious that was a lie and not from the Bible. This is why the Christians need to study the Bible so they are not misinformed and fleeced by false teachers. Read more at: https://www.transformedbythetruth.com/biblical-illiteracy-facing-the-modern-day-church-2/

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 Peter 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

2 Peter 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Duplantis said, “I realized that I will not move people emotionally to give, I’m gonna have people move according to the word of God. What is God saying to you?  ” Duplantis continued.

Duplantis then urged people to donate on the number appearing on screen emphasizing that in that way “God the Father would say ‘Jesus, go get ‘em.’”

These so-called preachers are fleecing the flock. Fleecing means persuading naive members of a religious congregation to give money.

Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into wantoness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2 Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

1 Timothy 6:3  If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

1 Timothy 6:4 He is “proud, knowing nothing”, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

1 Timothy 6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and “destitute of the truth,” supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

1 Timothy 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.

1 Timothy 6:7  For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

1 Timothy 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

1 Timothy 6:9  But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

1 Timothy 6:10  For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

1 Timothy 6:11  But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
