Have Faith?

I’ve heard people say that a person has been in a wheelchair for 20 years and still believes in God, and they say they have great faith. Maybe faith to be saved but not faith to be healed.

I believe that the person who gets healed and doesn’t need the wheelchair is the one that has faith.

I’ve heard lukewarm people teach that when Jesus told the disciples they could move a mountain, Jesus meant a mountain in your life, which happens to be false teaching. A mountain means a mountain, not a mountain in your life. Only lukewarm teachers who have no faith would say that.

Peter raised a person from the dead, so if you can raise a person from the dead, you can certainly move a mountain. As Jesus would say to them, you of little faith.

Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Many lukewarm denominations don’t believe in healings any longer. But the Bible disagrees. Whatever happened 2,000 years ago can still take place and does take place today.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.

Faith is a continued idea throughout the Bible. Faith means to persuade or be persuaded, trust or certainty, to behave like someone who has been persuaded into certainty.

People are persuaded=faith for many reasons. Maybe it was your upbringing or a church you attended, a sermon you heard, a tragedy, or a family member or a friend that brought you to faith, or maybe a miracle you heard of or witnessed.

What persuaded me into certainty was studying the Bible and finding the Truth in it.

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

You have to have faith to be saved.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Faith is believing in the invisible, instead of the visible.

2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight:

Even our belief in Jesus is based on faith since we never saw him.

John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

To please God is only through faith. The heroes in the Bible are men and women of faith.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

God wants us to have faith as a child, a child-like faith.

Children have a great imagination, and God wants us, adults, to find that imagination in ourselves again and trust in the words of God, like a child. Children can believe a story and receive that story with their imagination in an exciting way.

Matthew 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

God wants us to get once again excited about him.

Psalms 37:4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

The Bible is the most exciting book ever written, with true stories of angels and fallen angels, the devil, and demons, places of punishment as well as heaven.

Acts of faith as walking on water, calming the sea, healing the sick, to raising the dead.

The Bible is not like movies with fake superheroes; the Bible is true. So the next time you read the Bible or go to church and hear a story about God, become as a child and get excited and use your imagination and have faith.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.

Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Hebrews 11:6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
