To overcome Evil, you must be Transformed by Renewing your Mind

You must renew your mind by studying the Bible and be transformed into a new person. You will become this new person by integrating the word of God into your mind.

There are individuals who identify themselves as Christians and even participate in church activities, but their behavior does not reflect Christ’s teachings.

Some people who attend church seem to exhibit Christ-like behavior only within the church premises, but once they leave, it becomes difficult to determine if they are actually Christians unless they have a Jesus-themed sticker on their car.

“Being a true Christian involves more than just attending church once a week.”

1 John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Ephesians 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

Ephesians 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

Ephesians 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

How do you put on that new person? It’s not like many teach that you just become like Jesus or that Jesus did it for you. Those types are the ones that are only Christians when in church.

The way to be a new person is to be born again by the word of God.

First, you must read the Bible and study it. Quite hard to be like Jesus and be a new person if you don’t study the Bible and put on that new person.

Many who attend church never read the Bible, let alone study it. The only thing they know about Jesus is what they have heard in church or read in a book, not the Bible or what they have watched on TV.

2 Timothy 2:15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is God-breathed and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2 Timothy 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

The Bible is where we receive our doctrine; it is the instructions in righteousness, not a church doctrine. And as you can see, we receive righteousness by following the word of God, not Jesus is our righteousness, and we don’t have to do anything.

Have you noticed those who teach that false doctrine are the ones who teach to sin? The Bible teaches the opposite and warns that those who work sin Jesus never knew.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Matthew 7:23  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work sin.

You have so many false teachers on TV and behind the pulpits that it’s easy to understand why the church has fallen away from the truth.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 Peter 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

That truth is in the Bible. It’s the end of the world, and Christ’s return is near. It’s time for those who want to go in the resurrection to wake up from their sleep.

I Thessalonians 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

I Thessalonians 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

I Thessalonians 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

I Thessalonians 4:14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

I Thessalonians 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

I Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

I Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

I Thessalonians 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Church people need to look at these scriptures and see if they are becoming a new person.

Luke 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Galatians 5:24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

Romans 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

If you sin, then repent and ask Jesus for forgiveness.

1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

1 John 4:5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

1 John 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
