The word stays the same and never changes.
The progressive church is teaching false doctrine.
1 Timothy 6:3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
1 Timothy 6:4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
1 Timothy 6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth.
They say the Bible stays up with evil society as it changes. They teach the word no longer means what it has always meant. They want their ears tickled instead of truth.
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
They replace the truth with modern liberal lies.
2 Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
1 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
1 Peter 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
1 Peter 1:25 But the word of the Lord endureth forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
But the Bible teaches the opposite that the word will stand forever.
Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever.
The word is already settled in heaven not changes with the times.
Psalms 119:89 Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
Even all the judgments endureth forever not change because society changes.
Psalms 119:160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth forever.
Psalms 33:11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
Isaiah 46:9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
