According to the Bible, someone who is a friend of the world is considered an adulterer, an adulteress, and an enemy of God. This includes making friends with or keeping company with sinners who are alienated from God and immersed in worldly affairs is adultery.
I have observed that some websites that claim to be Christian are praising the fact that some football players gave glory to God after the Super Bowl. However, I believe that merely saying God or Jesus in a sentence does not make a person a Christian.
This is the false teaching that has been circulating, which encourages lukewarm churchgoers to compromise with the world.
James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

Worldly Christians often associate worldly events with God, which is nonsensical. This is why the Church has strayed from the truth.
These worldly pastors and TV evangelist have not taught the truth of separation from the world but has dragged the evil world into the church.
2 Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
1 John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Internet sites and TV evangelists who promote these celebrities who now are supposed to be Christians are deceiving themselves, and their false teaching is deceiving others who don’t want to give up the world.
“A celebrity is a person who has gained fame, particularly in the entertainment industry.”
If a celebrity converts to Christianity, they must repent and refrain from their former lifestyle. In Christ, there is no room for celebrity status.
I believe these next scriptures describe what these worldly pastors and TV evangelists are doing.
2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 Peter 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
Nowadays, there are many people who refuse to listen to sound and truthful teachings because they are more concerned about worldly things. They tend to listen to false teachers who deceive them by saying they can be both worldly and Christian at the same time. These false teachers cater to their audience by feeding their desires for worldly things.
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2 Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
This scripture refers to the majority of pastors and TV evangelists who preach that wealth is equivalent to godliness.
1 Timothy 6:3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
1 Timothy 6:4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
1 Timothy 6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
1 Timothy 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
1 Timothy 6:7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
Don’t be surprised when they pretend to be of God and apostles of Christ, but many of their works are not what the Bible teaches.
2 Corinthians 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
2 Corinthians 11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
I believe that in these difficult times, real Christians can relate to the words of Jude.
Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
Many of the false teachers who promise freedom are themselves bound by worldly and lustful sin.
2 Peter 2:19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
We must always put our guard up and be aware of these false apostles, deceitful workers who teach wrong and put us into bondage.
2 Peter 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
2 Peter 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
2 Peter 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
