Submit yourself to the Word of God

Submitting to God is when you submit to the teaching of the Word of God. The Bible will only do you good when you submit to its authority over you. Submit= yield oneself to the authority of.

Did you ever wonder what does God thinks about a certain situation. You now have the opportunity to discover the thoughts of God by reading and studying the Bible. This way we see thru God eyes the world we live in.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart..

The Bible is not just a book, but the words in it are God-breathed.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2 Timothy 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works..

It takes more than just going to church and hearing the Word, you must submit yourself to the Word.

James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

The scripture says to do the Word and if you don’t you’re deceiving yourself. The only way you can do the Word is to read it and study it.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth

Do you know that many who go to Church don’t read the Bible? Many have never read it through once, let alone study it.

As you read and study the scriptures they become the light unto your path that you follow.

Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

The scriptures direct your mind to become like Jesus.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Jesus is our example in all our ways.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

I’m sure you have heard the saying, what would Jesus do. This should become all Christians saying and we can know what Jesus would do by studying the Word.

Have you ever read the Bible thru?

Do you ever study the Bible?

Do you read it daily?

Do you take it to church with you?
