People Have Lost Their Moral Compass

It is evident that society is in a state of moral decline from those in positions of power to everyday individuals.

“You can turn on the TV and witness the extent of evil people have accepted.”

Years ago, many people used the Bible as their moral compass and set an example for others in Christian churches.

Today, it is hard to distinguish between Christians and sinners, as they often speak, dress, and act similarly.

“It seems that many people have lost their sense of moral direction and can no longer differentiate between what is good and what is evil.”

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

The Bible offers a moral compass that has guided countless individuals for centuries. Its teachings have provided a foundation for morality and ethics that have stood the test of time.

Despite being the best-selling book of all time, it’s disheartening to know that a large number of people today do not read or follow the Bible. If you’re looking for guidance, inspiration, perhaps it’s time to study the Holy Word in the Bible.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is  God-breathed and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2 Timothy 3:17  That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Churches worldwide have deviated from the truth and are filled with false teachers who speak against it. The true teachings of the Bible have been diluted and distorted.

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2 Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 Peter 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of

In his letter to Timothy, Paul talks about the spiritual state of individuals attending church during the end times. He mentions that although they may seem religious and possess a veneer of godliness, he is referring solely to those who attend church and identify themselves as Christians, rather than those in the secular world.

2 Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 Timothy 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

2 Timothy 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

2 Timothy 3:4  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

2 Timothy 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

2 Timothy 3:7  Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

2 Timothy 3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

“I think these verses depict a lot of individuals who go to church nowadays. They may seem to be godly, but their godliness is just surface-level  that goes against what the Bible teaches about being godly. Regrettably, there are also many people in churches who prioritize their own pleasures over their love for God.”

They study books about God but don’t learn the truth of the Bible. They resist the truth of the Bible because it requires giving up worldly pleasures.

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

1 John 2:16  For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

1 John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Matthew 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work sin.
