Bible has been translated into its 700th language

The Wycliffe Bible Translations and the American Bible Society both celebrated the news 5.7 billion people who speak 700 languages now have the Bible in their language.

The number of languages with the full Bible has doubled in the past 30 years, from 351 in 1990 to 700 in 2020.

Bible translation has accelerated in the past few decades due to advances in translation technology and a partnership among Bible translation agencies.

The American Bible Society said. Despite the milestone, about 1.5 billion people, or one in five people in the world still don’t have a Bible in their language.

Translators have met over video conferencing platforms like Zoom because of COVID-19. Bible translation agencies have published more Scriptures online, giving people and groups quicker access to God’s Word in their language.

A study, conducted by Barna Group, found most millennials ages 18-30 believe the Bible to be the actual 21 percent or inspired word of God 44 percent, while only 18 percent state the Bible is another book of teachings written by men.

Millennials in the survey 32 percent never reading the Bible, compared to 26 percent of all U.S. adults. The average amount of time millennials spend reading the Bible is 30 minutes, keeping pace with all U.S. adults.

It takes more than just going to church and hearing the Word, you must study the word and do what the Word teaches.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

You must be born again by the word of God.

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

We grow by reading the word.

The Bible teaches your mind how to become like Jesus.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
