Russian President Putin made a rare trip out of the country when he attended the Belt and Road Summit in Beijing with officers carrying his country’s nuclear briefcase. Two uniformed Russian naval officers followed the group and carried a briefcase, the key to nuclear armageddon.
The sighting comes one day after members of Russia’s lower house of parliament voted unanimously to revoke Moscow’s ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty.
The treaty, which was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1996, prohibits any nuclear explosion during weapon testing or otherwise anywhere in the world.
Tensions have grown between the U.S. and Russia since the start of the war in Ukraine last year, with increased concern that Putin may turn to his nuclear arsenal, the largest in the world, to aid in his full-scale invasion.
Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that Moscow was pulling out of the nuclear test ban treaty because of the U.S.’s “irresponsible attitude” to global security, noting that Washington has yet to ratify the treaty.
However, arms control experts at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute are concerned that Russia may be heading towards a test. The think tank fears the West would interpret such an action as an escalation amid the conflict in Ukraine.
This, in turn, could lead to reciprocal behavior and China, India, and Pakistan also resuming nuclear testing, potentially triggering a new global arms race, according to experts. Currently, all nations, with the exception of North Korea, observe the test treaty.

2 Peter 3:11 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
2 Peter 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Jude 1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
Jude 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

This is what sinners have to look forward to. On the other hand, Christians have 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 to look forward to.

1 Thessalonians 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 4:86 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
