Revival means Awakening, and it Begins With You

The word revival means awakening.

Revival must start in you. Christians are the light of the world.

Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Matthew 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Revival is something every person in the Churches around the world needs.

America has been the world’s light since its founding, but today its light has almost gone out, and the small flicker is not enough to give light to its people.

Revival is a word that you don’t hear much anymore. In America, most people in churches are too interested in feeding the outer man than feeding their inner man.

Many people in the churches are lovers of pleasures.

2 Timothy 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

2 Timothy 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

2 Timothy 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.

Great revivals have happened since the day of Pentecost up through the 1900s. Revivals consist of personal salvation to the unsaved and awakening to the already saved in churches.

Many revivals went across countries and leaped from country to country. Before a revival, Christians prayed for weeks on their knees to God for their families, friends, and their communities that weren’t saved.

Christians went door to door encouraging people to attend and passed out pamphlets of the upcoming revival. We are to shout it from the housetops.

Matthew 10:27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.

Many say they are Christians, but few live it. The truth is that many churches are full of seat warmers and not Christians. Today many claim to be saved, but the truth is few are.

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Jesus said that he would tell many he never knew them and they were workers of sin.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work sin.

Lukewarm is what most of people in the churches worldwide have become. And Christians know that the lukewarm does more damage to the faith than the cold.

For they teach others their slumber ways. But God says that he would, whether you be hot or cold than be lukewarm.

I think that the scriptures to the church of the Laodiceans in Revelations apply to most churches worldwide. I know many churches in America are lukewarm.

Revelations 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

Revelations 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Revelations 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing, and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

Many people in churches around the world need to repent.

Repent means a change of mind and heart, and if many in the Christian world would get out of their slumber, then we could have great revivals again and see the Church revived and the lost saved.

Psalms 85:6-7 Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.
