What does it mean to become as a child in the Bible?

Matthew 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

A child is pure, humble, and trusting, uncorrupted by the world.

Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Children are naturally humble and not prideful. Therefore, let us cultivate and celebrate humility within our children, for it is a powerful virtue that will serve them and us throughout our lives.

Luke 14:11 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

It’s fascinating how children possess a unique quality of childlike faith, which makes them believe in what they are told without question.

This quality makes them innocent and allows them to embrace the world with an open heart and mind.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

Proverbs 3:8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

Psalms 18:2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strengthin whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Few things can captivate a child’s imagination, like a well-told story about God. Seeing their eyes light up with wonder and amazement is a joy that’s hard to match.

When you share the timeless tales of faith with the children in your life, you’re opening up a world of possibilities and inspiring them to believe in something greater than themselves.

So, the next time you’re looking for a way to connect with the kids around you, tell them a story about God and watch their excitement soar.

Psalms 37:4  Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Luke18:7 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

Matthew 19:4 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

Children rely on their parents to provide for their basic needs, such as food, shelter, and love, which makes them entirely dependent. Similarly, God expects Christians to depend entirely on Him.

Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Matthew 6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Matthew 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

Matthew 6:28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

Matthew 6:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Matthew 6:30 Wherefore, if God so the grass of the field, which is, and is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Rediscover the joy of having faith in God by taking a cue from children. Their unbridled enthusiasm and innocent faith can teach us all a valuable lesson. Let’s embrace childlike wonder and trust and rekindle our connection with Jesus.
