False Teachers

Almost everyone who teaches on TV is a false teacher. Many denominations are full of false teachings as well. On top of false teaching on TV and in many denominations there are numerous books that have false teaching in them.

The internet is full of heresy and false teachings. False teachings have bombarded people in the modern world.

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lustfulness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

There are so many worldly people who attend churches in modern society because of the many preachers without a backbone who tickle their congregation’s ears instead of telling them the truth.

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2 Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

2 Peter says, by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. This is what is going on, they are twisting the Truth and pulling it out of context, to come up with all these false teachings.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 Peter 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom ( the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

And the ones that except it is those who are not rooted and grounded in the Word. Many behind the pulpits are false teachers and teaching gain is godliness.

1 Timothy 6:3 If any man teach otherwise and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

1 Timothy 6:4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

1 Timothy 6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth supposing that ( gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

1 Timothy 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.

1 Timothy 6:7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

1 Timothy 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

1 Timothy 6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

And to keep everything in context the love of money or the things it buys are the root of all evil, not money. I think the Bible warns of this in many places and tells us that not everyone who says Lord, Lord will enter in. Jesus will say depart from me you workers of iniquity.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

So everyone must use the measuring rod of Scripture when they are being taught. Studying the Word and rightly dividing it is the key.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The Bible teaches to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Don’t let others work out your salvation, but go to the word and study and make sure you have it right.

Jude 1:3 I exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
