Faith comes by hearing the Word of God

We are saved by hearing and accepting the word of God, which convicts us of our sins and leads us to Jesus as our savior.

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

1 John 4:1 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

The issue with many people is not a hearing problem like someone who needs a hearing aid, but rather a problem with their heart and mind in hearing the word of God.

Ephesians 4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

2 Corinthians 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

It’s not enough to just hear the words. To truly comprehend the truth that lies within, we must listen with intent and actively seek to understand.

Matthew 13:13 This is why I use these stories to teach the people: because while seeing they do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Some individuals within the church community are resistant to changing their negative behavior. As a result, they search for churches that cater to their preferences instead of adhering to the truthful teachings of the Bible, which can help them transform their actions.

“The power of the Holy Word lies in its ability to transform individuals. We must not attempt to alter the teachings of the Holy Word to suit our own desires. Instead, we should allow it to shape us into better Christians.”

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2 Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 Peter 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

This is one of the reasons the church has fallen away from the truth. Many in the church world get their doctrine from books but not the Bible.

Learning about God is a wonderful thing, but it’s not enough. We must also repent of our ways and come to know the truth. Without repentance and truth, our understanding of God will always be incomplete. Let’s take the necessary steps to discover the truth and live a pleasing life to God.

2 Timothy 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

The Bible’s transformative power allows true Christians to be born again. By dedicating oneself to studying the Word of God, one can experience a profound spiritual awakening that leads to a life filled with purpose, meaning, and fulfillment.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

1 John 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth
not
us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
