“The version of Facebook that exists today is tearing our societies apart,” former Facebook employee turned whistleblower Frances Haugen told lawmakers in Washington.
Haugen recently shared on CBS’s 60 Minutes and during testimony on Capitol Hill that the social media giant manipulates the platform to make it more “contentious and angry”. “Facebook makes more money when you consume more content,” Haugen explained.
“People enjoy engaging with things that elicit an emotional reaction. And the more anger they get exposed to, the more they interact and the more they consume.”
“Facebook’s products harm children, stoke division, and weaken our democracy,” Haugen said earlier this month on Capitol Hill.
“The company’s leadership knows how to make Facebook and Instagram safer but won’t make the necessary changes because they have put their astronomical profits before people.”

People who do this is called TROLLS. A Troll is someone who leave intentionally provocative or offensive messages on the internet in order to get attention, cause trouble or upset someone for “their own amusement”.
Even people who attend church are arguing over views that they received from social media and the news.

It’s obvious that the evil news networks are pushing a Republican or Democrat agenda, knowing they are causing division within the country.
John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Many things being reported are flat-out lies. People are being deceived by those who are evil and instruments of the devil. These people are purposely causing chaos in society.
You can listen to different news channels who are pushing different political sides and see they know it’s causing division. Anyone with common sense should know you’re being manipulated.
2 Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
Titus 3:3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
Titus 3:4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared.
If you are claiming to be a Christian then you should be spreading the truth of the Bible not arguing politics.
Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
If you are claiming to be a Christian, then a real Christian is always a Christian even when you’re online. The problem shows how political and other viewpoints seem to outweigh biblical precepts.

Romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and “AVOID THEM”.
Romans 16:17 says to avoid them, not agrue with them!
