The True Church

I want to start out by saying you should go to a church or somewhere where you can have fellowship with other Christians and hear the word.

Christians are the church, the church is not a certain denomination and it’s not a building.

If you attend a denomination or a place of worship that teaches the building or denomination is the church you have been deceived. Jesus is not coming back for denominations or buildings, but people who are his body.

The Church building is just a gathering place for Christians.

Colossians 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

1 Corinthians 12:27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members, in particular.

We are the body of Christ the Church, Church in the Greek means calling out, members on earth, not a building.

Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

When you assemble yourself in a building or on the internet, you should always edify your brothers and sisters.

Ephesians 4:16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

The building is a place for the body of Christ to get together and worship Jesus; a place to pray and learn the Word. We need to belong to a community of faith that includes our brothers and sisters in Christ to hear about the experiences of other believers.

We can always benefit from being taught and led by others to read and study the bible, rather than always depending on ourselves.

Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another:

Ephesians 2:19 Now, therefore, ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

Ephesians 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone;

Ephesians 2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

Ephesians 2:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
