Are Super Bowl Athletes Christians just because they claim to be Christian? Many of the so-called Christian sites are claiming that some of the athletes are Christian.
But then they say anyone in the world who is on TV and famous in the world that claim to be Christian is a true Christian, no matter how they live or what they believe.
They claim this famous person gave God glory for the game or share scriptures on social media and that makes them a Christian.
This idea comes from churches that still teaches that Jesus will come back as a thief in the night to everyone. The truth is Christians will be watching for Jesus return and only those who are in darkness will Jesus return as a thief in the night.

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.
The ones that promote the story left behind will be the ones who are left behind.
I believe it takes more than saying you’re a Christian. Judas was one of the twelve disciples and walked with Jesus and wasn’t a man of God but a thief from the beginning.
John 6:70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
John 12:6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.
You can claim to be a Christian, but you are only a Christian if your ways are Jesus ways.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
The people who promote this lie of famous people are not bringing Christ to the world, but bringing the world to Christians.
They seem to have missed these scriptures.
1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
1 John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 Peter 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
These people don’t just love the world and the things in it but promote the world and the things in it. They love telling you this famous person of the world is a Christian.
God is not a respecter of persons. I don’t believe God is impressed with a sports figure.
Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth, I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
And neither is real Christians respecter of people or uplift one person over another.
To be a real Christian you must give up the world and separate yourself from it.
Most all worldly famous people who claim to be Christian, only have lip service to God and are still as worldly as ever,
Esaias prophesied of these types that are hypocrites and the denominations and preachers who promote them are hypocrites as well.
Matthew 15:7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
Matthew 15:8 These people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
The scriptures teaches to come out among them and be separate from them, not stay with them and be like them.
2 Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
2 Corinthians 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
One missionary is better than a hundred thousand world heroes that claim to be Christian who only give lip service to God.
These worldly people who go to church and have websites who glorify famous people who claim to believe in Christ, need to read the Bible.
2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Heroes of the world don’t mean you’re a hero of God. Heroes of God are in Hebrews 11 which makes the heroes of the world look foolish.
Many churches are lukewarm and fallen away from the truth.
2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first.
God would whether you be hot, because you will be saved and know the truth and lead others to Christ through the knowledge of the truth or cold because your of the world and not doing damage to the truth.
Lukewarm Churches and people do harm to the true teaching of scripture and don’t know the truth and what they show others with their life style and teach them will deceive others with a false way of Christianity.
2 Timothy 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Revelations 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
Revelations 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
2 Timothy 3 speaks of the lukewarm church in the end time. These worldly so called Churches are full of people who are lovers of themselves and lovers of pleasures more then lovers of God.
2 Timothy 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy.
2 Timothy 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
They have a form of Godliness by going to church and a conservative way but deny Godliness that the Bible teaches you to be.
2 Timothy 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
They are ever learning but don’t come to the knowledge of the truth.
2 Timothy 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
They don’t study the Bible but read books that are based on opinions of so called Christians.
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
They resist the truth that the scriptures teach and they find teachers that give them a worldly view of so called Christian life.
2 Timothy 3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
Jesus teaches that many will think they are Christians but aren’t.
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work sin.
