Why are People Leaving their Churches?

I read an article about why they thought people were leaving churches in America.  This is happening around the world, not just in America.

As usual, it was nonsense and anti-christ written by a non-believer.

Why are people leaving churches? The Bible speaks of it in many places, and I will cover a few.

The Bible talks of a time when there would be false teachers at the end of the world. There have always been false teachers, but this would be a time when it would be almost everywhere.

You can turn on a so-called Christian channel on TV and see many false teachers.

It would be a time when the people in churches would no longer be interested in truth but in fables that would tickle their ears.

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2 Timothy 4:4  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

It would be a time of heresies and speaking evil of the way of truth.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 Peter 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

John 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

It would be a time before Jesus’s return that there would be a falling away from the truth.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first.

I think anyone honest knows we are at that time of the end of this world.

First, Timothy 3 talks of a time in the end when the churches will be full of unthankful and unholy people.

A time when people in churches are lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, denying to have to be Godly, ever learning but never able to come to know the truth. They resist the truth, corrupt mind who are reprobates.

1 Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

1 Timothy 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

1 Timothy 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

1 Timothy 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

1 Timothy 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

1 Timothy 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

1 Timothy 3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

Since that time is upon us, what should we do to prepare for the resurrection when Jesus returns?

We should understand that Christians will know when Jesus returns, and only those asleep will Jesus return as a thief in the night.

The Bible teaches that we should be watchers.

1 Thessalonians 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

1 Thessalonians 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

1 Thessalonians 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but “let us watch” and be sober.

We are to be watchers for Jesus’s return.

We need to be prepared to be Christ’s bride by being born again by the word of God, transforming our minds, and becoming holy and godly.

2 Corinthians 2:11 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

Ephesians 5:20 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

If this article doesn’t resonate with you, you need to throw away your 1980s and 1990s false teachers’ left-behind books and study the Bible.

Hebrew 4:12 For the word of God is alive, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is God-breathed and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

2 Timothy 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
