Staying Positive in a Time of Fear

Many people’s life has been turned upside down by the COVID-19 outbreak.

Fear and depression can make you feel powerless.

Limiting how much time you spend watching the news, listening to the radio, and getting on the internet can help restore a sense of normalcy.

God has everything in control.

Psalm 91:11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.

While the pandemic is going on there is good happening all over the world. People are helping each other and sharing their supplies with those that are in need.

Police officers shopping for the elderly, doctors coming out of retirement to help.

Surround yourself with people who uplift you, only watch uplifting media, find activities that you and your family can do safely, and keep your thoughts positive and help encourage others.

The more you see, think, and do that reflects peace, happiness, and positivity, the more it can influence your mood and outlook on life.

What is another way to stay positive in a world of COVID-19?

Read the word of God!

Reading the words of God daily from the Bible will give you peace.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

The Bible is a very positive book for those who believe in its words.

The Bible teaches what comes from your mouth comes from your heart. So just don’t read the Bible but find some positive scriptures in the Bible and write them down and memorize them.

The next time that fear and depression enter into your thoughts speak those scriptures out loud and let your mind hear them until that fear and depression leaves.

Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Remember we are to transform our minds with the word of God.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.

Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Here are some positive thinking scriptures you can say every day.
