The World braces for “Day of Jihad”

Anti-Israel protests have been held in a “day of jihad” worldwide today after former Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal demanded thousands of Muslims take to the streets to demonstrate amid the ongoing conflict.

Fatah, which heads the Palestinian Authority that governs about 40 percent of the West Bank, issued a statement on Monday celebrating the Hamas terrorists who launched a surprise attack against Israel last weekend. Fatah’s Central Committee recently called on the Palestinian public to “answer calls to confront” Israel and to “escalate all the conflict zones.”

Tens of thousands of demonstrators gathered Friday in Tahrir Square in the centre of Baghdad, and similar protests are expected in Lebanon, Syria, and other Arab countries following afternoon prayers.

During some protests like in Iran, Bangladesh, and Malaysia angry demonstrators burned Israeli and American flags. Thousands more gathered in the Jordanian capital of Amman on Friday for a demonstration in support of Palestinians, with many holding banners reading.

Cities across the US are ramping up security around houses of worship after the devasting attack on Israel  by Gaza militants that started Saturday.

While many authorities say there have been no credible threats, the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security issued “public safety concern” bulletins to state and local law enforcement agencies over the weekend, a law enforcement official said.

A conservative podcast host took a more cautious tone, posting: “Do not leave your homes that day unless there is an emergency.”Avoid public transit. Avoid airplanes. Avoid public events.

The call for an international “day of rage” by Hamas has some influencers urging that Americans hit the gun store and range to load up on ammo and brush up on defensive shooting.“Buy guns and ammo,” said Donald Trump Jr. “Don’t stop there.

Get yourself some training. Tons of great patriotic local small businesses can teach you to be proficient and safe,” he added. Officials in Washington and around the country have urged people to be on alert tomorrow.

And some Jewish schools around the world are closing. New York City leadership is bolstering security as the city braces for unrest after the former chief of Hamas called for a ‘Day of Jihad’ on Friday. An increased police presence around religious institutions, schools, and transportation hubs confirmed the National Guard is on standby.

In America, New York has the most Jews residing there besides Israel. The NYPD to surge additional resources to schools and houses of worship to ensure they are safe and that our city remains a place of peace.
