Pulpits becoming Political and not Teaching the Truth

Many American churches prioritize politics over Jesus Christ due to false teachers in the pulpits.

Social media and major political outlets like Fox, CNN, and MSNBC are now 24-hour political channels, rather than news outlets.

When attending church, Americans are exposed to politics instead of the principles of the Bible.

“The individuals who frequently speak from pulpits should keep in mind the teachings of 2 Timothy.”

2 Timothy 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

2 Timothy 4:2 PREACH THE WORD; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2 Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

I understand why conservative Christians would want a republican in office given the perceived lowering of standards by the Democrats. However, it’s important to acknowledge that, regardless of who is in office, they will not save America.

Only Jesus can save America!

“America was the country that spread the Gospel, and by doing so, it became a beacon of light for the rest of the world. However, nowadays the light of America seems to be fading away due to the prevalence of false teachings being spread from the pulpits.”

The rulers of darkness are attacking America, and this battle is not won in an election. This battle is spiritual and won by prayer and fighting spiritual wickedness in spiritual places, not fighting people in the other political parties.

Ephesians 6:10  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

The next verse means we don’t fight with people of other political parties.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Christians need to get their priority straight, putting Jesus over any political party or candidate. Being of a certain political party doesn’t make you a Christian.

Christians understand we are in this world, but not of it; we are just pilgrims passing through.

Hebrews 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

1 John 2:15 Love not the worldneither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

1 John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

People in politics come and go, but God’s word is forever.

Isaiah 40:8 “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.”

1 Peter 1:25 “But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”

We are bought with a price, and no politician paid it. It was Jesus who died for our sins, not any politician.

1 Corinthians 6:20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

1 Corinthians 6:21  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Colossians 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Christians should stand for the unborn, their families, and their country and freedom. But first, we are to glorify God, and spread the gospel.

Christian’s allegiance must be to Jesus Christ first over any political party or the person running in the election.

Battles are won by prayer.

Phillippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

1 Timothy 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

1 Timothy 2:2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

1 Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

1 Timothy 2:4  Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

1 Timothy 2:5  For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

1 Timothy 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Ephesians 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Ephesians 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Ephesians 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Ephesians 6:18  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
