HOLINESS

Isaiah had a vision of God’s Holiness.

Isaiah 6:1 I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

Isaiah 6:2 Above it stood the: each one had six wings; with twain, he covered his face, and with twain, he covered his feet, and with twain, he did fly.

Isaiah 6:3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

In Revelations, its described this way.

Revelations 4:8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him, and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

They cried out Holy, holy, holy day and night. When you are in the presence of the almighty God, you can only describe it one way, Holy, holy, holy. Holiness is God’s nature.

We can only understand the Holiness of God thru the Holy Spirit, which he gives to his children.

1 Corinthians 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so, the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

1 Corinthians 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which is God’s.

Holiness is a requirement for anyone who wants to see the lord.

Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and Holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Our God is Holy, and he instructs us to be Holy.

We must become a partaker of his divine nature.

2 Peter 1: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

2 Peter 1: 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

1 Peter 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
