Can a Christian have a “Love-Hate” Relationship with Certain Bible Texts

The answer is NO! I read about a supposed-to-be Christian singer who said they have a “Love-Hate Relationship with Certain Bible Texts.”

If you have a love-hate relationship with the Bible, you are having a Love-hate relationship with God himself.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2 Timothy 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

The Word is God-breathed, which means that he is the true author of the Bible, and God moved the people who wrote it to write those words down.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

I know when I started in God and first read the Bible, it seemed to me that everything that God said was evil  I had done. This didn’t make me hate the truth in the Bible, but it made me understand the holiness and righteousness of the Bible.

I understood I needed to repent in many ways, and I knew God’s way was right and my way was wrong. The Bible is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

So, if you hate anything in the Bible or don’t go by what it teaches, you are in rebellion.

Proverbs 17:11 An evil person seeketh only rebellion: therefore a cruel messenger shall be sent against them.

1 Samuel 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

Christians who rebel against the Bible are equal to witches and their sin of witchcraft. Their stubbornness is a sin and equal to idolatry. People who rebel against the Holy Word, I’m sure, are paying the price of sin, which is trouble in their daily life and will ruin their chance of eternal life.

The people who teach you cannot lose your eternal life are liars and false teachers. These false teachers teach that you sin continually as well. What do you think a reprobate is?

Reprobates means rejected, castaway.  They are people who started in Christ but never stop sinning and rebel against the word until their end of life.

Many are on TV who have become rich for tickling people’s ears.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 Peter 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

2 Timothy 4:2 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2 Timothy 4:3  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

2 Corinthians 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

2 Corinthians 11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness.

Jude warns that ministers who turn the grace of our God into lasciviousness, which means wantonness, are just out for money.

Jude 1:4  For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Just because a person sings so-called Christian songs and even if they have won rewards, that doesn’t make them a Christian, and what they say is the truth. Most people who sing for a living are too busy to take the time to study the Bible and go by it.

And a few words about so-called Christian songs. The so-called Christian songs are mostly about people and not about how great Jesus is. They are how great I am instead of how great God is.

God deserves the praise, and it should be about how great he is. Most services are the same, losing the truth of how great God is.

I believe, like in Jude’s time, we need that old-time religion that preached about sin and repentance and the judgment of the lake of fire for those who sin and don’t repent.

Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Psalms 150:1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.

Psalms 150:2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

Psalms 150:3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.

Psalms 150:4  Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.

Psalms 150:5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.

Psalms 150:6  Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.
